A little about me . . .

My name is Mia Phillimeano and I am originally from Eastern North Carolina, but for most of my childhood I grew up close to Greensboro. My heart called me back to Carteret County at 18 years old when I attended college to become a Cosmetologist, and while I enjoyed it for a while and worked for myself for a portion of that time, it didn't quite feel as connected to my path anymore. I always felt like I needed to give more value to others, and I needed to do so while pursuing entrepreneurship. My passion for helping others heal their souls and find peace, love, and happiness within themselves, combined with my fascination for pregnancy and birth, led me to becoming a doula. My experience as a doula has been beautifully magical, and I want more of it!

About a year later, I wanted to take better control of my health and became obsessed with non-toxic living because I learned how beauty and cleaning products were affecting the health of a large population. I threw out everything I had and switched to cleaner products for my own health and peace of mind. My motivation for this was preparing my body to be healthier and more adequate for having children, then raising them to appreciate a Holistic Lifestyle.

Around this time, I was needing to find the missing puzzle piece to my career, and that's when I enrolled in an online course with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. This course opened so many doors for me and blew my mind. Not only did it teach me how to be an outstanding coach for others, but for myself. It encouraged me to start implementing many good habits including giving more love and appreciation to myself in order to be stable and healed from my past, and be able to coach to the best of my ability to help others do the same.

I aspire to be an inspiration for the world as a Holistic/Integrative Health and Wellness Coach and Birth Doula!
